I finished the episode and enjoyed it. It’s the sort of English Lit I wish I’d gotten. But I do have a piece of advice. In the first half of the podcast ("Method"), it was mostly Aaron talking. In the "Madness" half, it was mostly Brad talking, and Aaron just saying "uh huh?" or "oh." I would have liked more back-and-forth, building something between the two of you that's bigger than either of you.

Great podcast. I've been hungry for this. Is it possible for yoh to release a transcript? I want to repost quotes!

I'm not sure how to do that, but I'll look into it.

Razib Khan uses an AI service to generate a transcript and it works well.

I'm a veteran too, a submariner. Aaron, what you said about the craving for adventure rings so true for me. You have no idea how badly I needed to hear that again, because it is something I've been struggling with since I've gotten out. When you get out and end up in a relatively mundane life, it's tough finding new priorities, new hills to climb, or whales to hunt for that matter.

Just listened thru this …. Wow so much more entertaining than sitting through Gladiator 2. Love the insights especially in the final, esoteric section. This is meat for my soul. Gents keep it coming .. I sense you barely skimmed the surface of your combined knowledge of this fantastic book.
